HOMEWORK:

This year, homework will be sent home on Thursdays and will be due the following week. The assignments are entirely optional and designed to be short, consisting of just one math page and we encourage 10-20 minutes of reading each night. This year we are also including a social skill focus of the week, each week will be a different age appropriate goal. For example tying shoe laces, memorizing parents phone numbers, or even how to write a check! Please check below for our previously taught skills. We are firm believers in the importance of kids spending quality time outdoors and engaging in play, rather than being burdened with hours of homework, but we also want to help facilitate a love for learning and growth.

That being said, we also recognize the value of a little practice. Just 10 minutes of focused work from Monday to Thursday can make a significant difference in reinforcing the skills we're learning in class. We encourage you to approach homework with flexibility and view it as an opportunity for your child to reinforce their learning in a manageable way.

To add a bit of fun to the mix, students can turn in their completed homework for a small treat! We believe in recognizing effort and dedication.

Should you have any questions or if your child needs extra help, please don't hesitate to reach out. Remember, we are here to support your child's learning journey.

Additionally, I want to highlight two fantastic resources available on our Clever site— Istation and Reflex Math. These tools are excellent for fact fluency practice, offering an interactive and engaging way for your child to strengthen their skills.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and let's make learning a joyful experience for our students!
